Kathleen Moy, Special Education Coordinator, has served as a teacher and an administrator in diverse learning environments for students ages Kindergarten through adult. She specializes providing best practices to students with a range of academics and behavior.
Kathleen has served as a curriculum director, gifted education coordinator, assistant principal of special education, and principal for rural, suburban, and urban school districts. She has participated in tutoring programs in Chicago’s Cabrini Green neighborhood and the Illinois Youth Center in St. Charles, and has worked as an aide in classrooms for mildly and moderately cognitive delayed students. She is experienced working with students who have special needs, reviewing student’s individual education programs (IEPs), and hiring, supervising evaluating special education teachers. Kathleen earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and is pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership.
