Ombudsman Chicago 2015 Graduation

Rennesha Davis-Riggins

Rennesha Davis-Riggins enrolled at Ombudsman Roseland in January 2021. She came to us from Bloom township. Rennesha had recently moved into the city, was behind in her credits and was in danger of aging out. Rennesha successfully completed our program and is a part of the Class of 2022. Rennesha is currently enrolled at Kennedy King with plans to transfer to a four-year institution and major in IT Engineering and Business Economics. We’re proud of all you’ve accomplished, Rennesha!

Judith Bolanos

Judith Bolanos is an Ombudsman alum, now attending East-West University. She is majoring in Business and just completed her first semester with a 4.0 GPA.

Judith said she’s taken what she learned at Ombudsman and is applying it to her college experience at East-West. She is remembering to be patient with herself, to keep trying, and to not give up. She’s also remembering that it is not only okay but necessary to sit back for a moment and just enjoy the moment.

Judith was our valedictorian, painted 2 murals in our South campus building, and was featured in Chicago’s Art on the Mart. We are so very, very proud of her!

Shaketa Welch

Shaketa Welch is an Ombudsman Alum, class of 2022.  She successfully completed the (Reading) Dual Enrollment course while attending the Roseland campus during her senior year.  Shaketa is currently attending Malcolm X College where she is pursuing an Associate degree in Mental Health Counseling. Way to go, Shaketa!
