The Ombudsman Chicago team attended the PUSH Excel MLK Breakfast in Chicago, Illinois. They received National recognition for their work in education throughout the United States. Ombudsman Chicago students from the CITY STREET MUSIC SOUNDS club demonstrated their musical talents live at the event – and impressed everyone! This breakfast event is held annually in Chicago to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, presented by the World renowned Civil Rights Leader Jesse L. Jackson.
Thank you to Mayor Lightfoot and Alderman Coleman for coming by to support our students and to Black People First for giving students the opportunity to be interviewed and share a short rap with the audience. Thanks to John Scott and Carlton Jenkins for creating opportunities through hard work for these students! We are proud of our Ombudsman Chicago students!
