Moses Tighil, Chicago Northwest Building Principal

Dear Ombudsman Chicago Northwest Family,

Welcome returning and new students and families. We look forward to a great new school year!

The Ombudsman Chicago Northwest staff believes that a strong partnership grounded in active communication with parents and guardians is essential in the life – and education – of young people. As partners, we share the responsibility for students’ success. We’ll do our very best to support your child’s learning, and we ask that you join us by ensuring he or she:

  1. Is prepared to learn;
  2. Attends school on time and in uniform every day;
  3. Shares his or her experiences with you so you’re aware of what is occurring at school;
  4. Tells you if additional support is needed in any area so you can share that information with us; and
  5. Knows you expect him or her to succeed in high school – and after.

Our teachers and staff are dedicated to providing individualized support to every student. We analyze academic data to determine students’ skill levels and set goals for academic and personal growth. Our Post-Secondary Counselors work to ensure that all students graduate from high school prepared for postsecondary education, meaningful careers, and effective citizenship. We specialize in different fields and can provide your student with constant assistance on all fronts.

We want to hear from you, so please contact the administration team or your child’s teacher if you have any questions, requests, concerns, or comments. And watch for invitations to events we plan to host so we can all get to know each other and build a real community dedicated to your child’s success.

We thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to working closely with you.

Sincerely,

The Staff at Ombudsman Chicago Northwest
