Letter from the Principal

Dear Ombudsman Chicago Roseland Students and Families,

Welcome to Ombudsman Roseland 2021-2022 school year.  This letter has been prepared with GREAT excitement as it signifies the start of our school year and being able to welcome our students back to full in-person instruction.  I would like to introduce myself as the new Principal of Ombudsman Roseland High School.  I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such persevering students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community.  I feel very fortunate to be part of this school and to support the students and families.

The Ombudsman Roseland staff continues its commitment to working collaboratively with you and with one another to provide results-oriented instruction that focuses on the success and achievement of every student.  We are counting on all of our parents and guardians to partner with us to continue our work to raise the bar and grow achievement for all of our students. The overall goal for the 2021-2022 school year is to maximize in-person teaching and learning, be responsive to student needs, and keep students and staff healthy and safe by concentrating in the following areas:

  • Attendance
  • Credit attainment/recovery
  • Dual Credit/Enrollment
  • Graduation Rate
  • Cultivating a culture of rigor in the classroom
  • Promoting Social Emotional Learning Practices within the school

In the spirit of inspiring, educating and challenging every student, every day, welcome to the new school year! I look forward to meeting you soon!
